Kibo

While I was studying Veterinary Nursing, we had onsite animals we needed to care for as part of our course. Kibo, (“key-bow”) was one of those animals. She is an Alexandrine Parrot, and I often took her home during the holidays as she was a bird who needed a lot of company. When I first met Kibo, she was a scrawny, messy looking thing with a bite. After two weeks with me she transformed completely. She came out of her shell, stopped biting, and began to look smooth and shiny, fresh and loved. By the time I brought her back to campus, she was a new bird. Check out the before (left) and after (right) photos.
